(our travels of 13 October)
Yesterday we left Ross-on-Wye to head north towards Scotland. First town was Hereford, where we were looking for a particular shop.
We didnt find the shop, but at one stage found ourselves in this street.
We were meant to drive up that narrow space !!!! We wondered if it was one or two way, but decided it MUST be one way,
We were still looking for that shop, took a wrong turn, and somehow ended up here,
That’s right, that same street. Still no indication of if it was one or two way until -
Yes, that is a car coming towards us. Now we knew, it is a two way street, but only one car at a time can fit. This car didnt wait till we had gone through before coming towards us.
We had to pull into the “driveway” where those 2 cars are parked on the left to let this car through.
Our next stop was the town of Ludlow. It was amazing, and we would have liked a lot more time there. It still has the wall from the old castle surrounding the town, and the road passes through the wall. Imagine living on top of the opening in the wall.
Of all the many stores and buildings, this is the one that caught my eye.
We had to take a look inside this 2 storey wool and patchwork shop, where some fat quarters had to be purchased.

Gorgeous pictures Roomy, but where are the important ones - the FQ's?

Gorgeous photos Marilyn...A little bit squeezy there. Travel safely.
Yep, we have a lot of streets like that! You might find worse in Scotland. Out in the countryside there are a lot of single track roads, generally very twisty and turny with high hedges so you can't see what's coming. They generally have a 60mph speed limit too! The thing to do is honk your horn as you come up to a blind bend so people will know you're there. Good luck!
sounds like you are having fun.... I am struggling with the tiny roads too....
