Grandparents Day

The day before we headed out to Lightning Ridge for the wedding I was invited to Grandparents Day with the prep classes at Kai and Charlie’s school.  It was a shame that Kai was not well enough to be at school that day but it also meant I could spend the entire time with Charlie.

First up was the craft session.  Such concentration was required.

He was proud of his efforts.  And I have a new bookmark.

We were also entertained by the classes singing, and telling jokes  The only joke I can remember is

“What does a sheep have for a snack?”

“Maaaas baaaas.”

It sounded better when told by a 5 year old.

They all loved having the undivided attention of their grandparents.  But I think they were more excited about holidays starting.

Hmm.  I really should be doing some packing.  As I am writing this it is 1 day, 15 hours till we are due to fly out.

Just remembered another joke from a prep boy.

“What do you call a penguin in the desert”

“Lost”.

Yes ok, I will leave the jokes to the preps and go do some packing.

I will read blogs when I can but please forgive the lack of comments and replies a lot of the time in the next month.  I will catch up in November.

You have had a hectic time.
Love the jokes - must remember those.
The wedding looks like it was a great day after all the work done in the week leading up to it.
Have a good holiday.
