Painful FNWF

Well, last night was my first Friday Night with Friends.  Early in the night I went walking into our bedroom without turning on the light, and stubbed my toe badly on a chair which isnt usually there.  It is so painful but…

If I wasnt signed to do FNWF I think I would have been in a sad and sorry crumpled heap of misery. Crying face But I couldnt do that, so I gritted my teeth,Don't tell anyone smile suffered the pain Sad smile , and carried on like a trooper.  Confused smileHere is the end result of my painful night.

All the pieces cut, and the applique pieces in place.  Now to stitch them down.

In spite of my “terrible” injury, it was a very productive night.  I had forgotten how long it takes to prepare applique with such little pieces.

And thank you Cheryl for organising our very wonderful FNWF.  It is such fun.

My toe is badly bruised, swollen and a bit painful to walk around, but not as bad as it was last night.

I wonder if Harry will share?  No I dont think so.

Love the applique piece - I think you should have your own ice cream considering your injury - a bit of pampering goes a long way!

Hey Roomie, from very recent experience I have found out that you shouldn't ignore a very painful, swollen toe after you have knocked it - GO AND GET IT CHECKED OUT!!! was that loud enough for you? Go on, do it
lots of hugs
Miche'le
p.s. I do love your productive nights work though xx

Oh you poor thing - be careful, I broke a couple of toes doing that. My son is sitting with his foot up right now, he fell on the ice a few days ago and his whole foot is a huge swollen bruise. I can't believe you got so much done with your foot hurting so badly. I LOVE that little quilt. Love love love. And love the cute little pic of Harry too! Yum, I wouldn't share either!

I like Birdhouse designs but I don't think that I have seen this one. It is going to be worth all the effort. Wishing your toe a quick recovery.

I sincerely hope you're feeling better today. That is really a painful injury. Nevertheless you manage to make a wonderful project. I wonder what you could do if you weren't in pain.

Nothing hurts like a stubbed toe. You certainly managed to do some great sewing though. The appliqué looks fabulous.

I think you should get a special bravery medal for sewing with a stubbed toe. For doing a great job too. Love the little landscape. It's going on my 'to do' list ;o)

Cheers, Anita.

Hi Marilyn. Do you think you've broken your toe? I broke my little toe once and it hurt for months! On a brighter note, your applique is gorgeous. Well done!
