Brissy Bloggers meet “Peg and Dale”

I missed the October Brisbane Blog meet because I was still in UK, so I have been eagerly awaiting the chance to go to another one.  I was in luck when Maree organised one for yesterday.  I picked up De and Debbie, and thank goodness they knew where to go – otherwise I think I may have made a few wrong turns and gone in circles.  But, we did arrive safely at the Wishing Well Cafe, ready for a fun day of chatting, laughing, show and tell and stitching, with coffee  and lunch breaks thrown in.
Gorgeous location,with interesting decor.

and more friends lurking behind the glass – Peg and Dale came to visit

The Show and Tell was amazing:
Cheryl’s gorgeous Tunisian Crocheted scarf, Noela’s journal cover

Susan’s and De’s SKOW.  So different with their colour schemes, and both beautiful

Noela with her Gardeners Journal quilt, and my Flower Garden wallhanging. (More about it on next post)

An amazing collection of show and tell.
Now about our “extra friends” who turned up quite unexpectedly.  (see the full story of their day on Maree’s blog).  They were made very welcome, though I had to wonder what they were up to when I saw them loitering on the counter  around the miniature teaset.

”Ooh, just our size I think Peg”
“No Dale, you know I like a MUG not a little mini cup. Let’s go find the girls, see what they are having.”
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
”Yes, this is more like it”
“We had better watch these girls – they have decorated us.  We dont want to be strung up on the Christmas tree like decorations, do we.”
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA ”.
We all agreed that Peg and Dale stole the limelight at the blogger meet.  I hope they can come along again.
(But I really would rather meet the REAL Peg and Dale.)
