It’s kind of like back at school
We started off with a piece of quilter’s muslin, and these paints to prepare our backgrounds.
After tracing on the design we quilted the flowers, leaves, vines etc.
Then came the fun part. Using these – Inktense pencils and water soluble crayons, with fabric medium to colour the flowers and leaves.
Following that was more quilting to the background.
The finished result
I so enjoyed all the processes for this wallhanging.

Wow, that's beautiful! have you tried the technique again since the class?
Lovely, the colours are great, I've seen that technique used on a few quilts now and I want to try it. Love how your background fabric turned out too, nice gradation of the colours.
Your coloured piece has turned out beautifully, Marilyn. The class looks like a lot of fun. Your freemotion quilting has really come on and I love the intense colours you were able to create. Well done! Di.
Looks really lovely Marilyn and it looks like you really enjoyed doing it. :) Hugs Vicki x
