Believe it or not, Friday has turned up again

Even though I am rather late to blog about it I have signed up for FNSI tonight, and am stitching away in my sewing room.  I will be back in the next day or so to show what I have accomplished (well I hope I have accomplished it - time will tell.)

I have made something I can show though.  A bit of experimenting, a bit of tweaking to come, and it should work out fine.  Not bad considering I started making this at 11 pm last night.  I felt the need to accomplish something simple.
I dont have a lot of selvages at the moment because I sent a bundle off to a friend.  But it is good to use some of them, and it wont take too long for the supply to build up again.

Cute ornament - I love selvages :) I have about 30 blocks finished for a selvage quilt I'm slowly working on - when I think of how much "yardage" of those things I've thrown away over the years, it makes me cringe, lol!

My Friday night will consist of cleaning my house and doing some baking - we have hubby's family coming over for the monthly get-together on Sunday, and I'm the hostess this month. I'd rather be sewing ;)

What a cute idea! I have often thought it would be fun to have a sewing/quilting themed tree. I love ornaments made with thimbles. Did you make the tree out of felt?

This is really cute Marilyn. Don't know how you can sew so late at night! You did well. I have heaps and heaps of selvedges, so something like this would be achievable. I had envisaged a full size selvedge quilt, but that has never come to fruition.

It is so satisfying to sew something a day even if it is very small.

Lovely little tree, good start to the Christmas box. Don't think I could sew at 11pm eyelids usually drooping by that time lol
