Believe it or not, Friday has turned up again

Even though I am rather late to blog about it I have signed up for FNSI tonight, and am stitching away in my sewing room.  I will be back in the next day or so to show what I have accomplished (well I hope I have accomplished it - time will tell.)

I have made something I can show though.  A bit of experimenting, a bit of tweaking to come, and it should work out fine.  Not bad considering I started making this at 11 pm last night.  I felt the need to accomplish something simple.
I dont have a lot of selvages at the moment because I sent a bundle off to a friend.  But it is good to use some of them, and it wont take too long for the supply to build up again.

Drought

feb '14
Drought – that awful disrupter of lives,
bore troughs
Sheep will not do well on water alone.  (there is plenty of bore water for drinking)
Feb 14
Very dry, hot and bare of any grass.

The horse takes advantage of the hose that is filling the troughs, to have a cool down.

These sheep have learnt that when the lawn mower starts there will be grass clippings thrown over the fence - not a lot, but enough for a little nibble .

The kangaroos come into the house yard at night and early morning to eat the lawn grass.

Another empty cloud.

There are still gorgeous things to see -like sunsets.
And these gorgeous little people.

The packing up went well.  These little Grandies LOVED their makeshift cubbies.

What a great little helper. (or not).  Especially when she carefully unfolded the clothes and placed them back in the laundry basket. (sorry Mum, you will have to fold them again.)
They are off on an adventure, (town jobs) until the drought breaks – then THEY WILL BE BACK.
